Election fever

So we're told it's election season, well papa hasn't explained it quite those terms but I'm seeing Mike Duffy Live and Don Newman's Brooooadcast on television more often these days. For reasons passing understanding, we are not graced with the franchise but we're going to embrace our political ambitions in our own way. So the other weekend, we decided to be Conservatives for the day, just to see if that works. Maman says she likes the $100 childcare rebate each  month, so we put on some new PJs that may have been purchased along with some beer and popcorn. But how do you become a Conservative, you know a real dyed-in-the-wool Conservative? That was our dilemma. We thought and thought and even pondered calling in an outside consultant, whose report we could shield from access laws. And then it dawned on us, we need to don big hats. Now we could attend rallies in Duncan or Fredericton and fit right in. Hey we're part of the base now. Izzie and I now just need a fuzzy blue sweater and a comforting fireplace and it's all good. We're real leaders. And we're also a bit confused about this whole Green Shift thing but apparently we're not alone.

Heading to school

Izzie and I have entered the brave new world that is school. Ok, not really school, but our new daycare is located in the same building as the school we will be going to in a few years, so what's the difference? We were saddened to leave Connie's house especially with Baby Luci coming along, we're quite convinced she would want to play with us. But now we have met lots of new friends, including Felix and Mathieu who played on our soccer team this summer. Izzie and I are no longer in the same class every day, but we get to see each other on the playground. As I'm sure she'd tell you, it's handy to have a big sister around especially one who can spare a shovel when some serious digging is required. Our first day at the new daycare was a wonderful late summer day, but sadly pa
pa has taken so long to update this blog that it is almost winter.
