Pretty in pink

Mid-winter Saturday mornings can be so dreary. With each falling snowflake, I feel more entrapped in our house. And the freezing rain just reinforces this rather bleak outlook. Izzie and I, however, are not content with this seasonal malaise and we’re prepared to fight back. The first step is donning our happiness outfit, which includes red shirts, pink hats, fluffy pink scarves and big smiles. Of course, ponytails are an added bonus that comes in especially handy with the mercury dips below minus-20. Now we’re ready for a full-on happiness offensive. We giggle, wiggle and offer little girly kisses to anyone who enters our home. Perhaps that’s why Belle never leaves the front door, but she just has to learn to stop licking our faces.
